| Plot Summary: |
The Addams step out of Charles Addams' cartoons. They live with all of the trappings of the macabre (including a detached hand for a servant) and are quite wealthy. Added to this mix is a crooked accountant and his loan shark and a plot to slip in the shark's son into the family as their long lost Uncle Fester. Can the false Fester find his way into the vault before he is discovered? |

Addams Family, The: A movie now!

Most of you, probably, didn't even know they had a TV series before this, but they did. Inspired by the Charles Addams cartoons, the film looks a treat and the cast, headed by Raul, Julia, Anjelica Huston and the grave, precociously talented Christina Ricci, could hardly be better. But the plot and dialogue would be more suited to a thirty minute TV sitcom. The story has a crooked lawyer trying to pass off a fake Uncle Fester to steal the family fortune.
This would have been much better, if they had released a series of sitcoms on TV, not a film.
